I am not sure why anyone with one of these cars would not have a spare on hand to make this a 30 second repair but if I were in that position I would do one of the following solutions:
561 (pink label)
561 rebuild or 561 white label or 951
933 off a later LH2.4
556 (has EGR circuit)
928 (16V) as well as another 16V unit, number slips my mind.
