I just started my 145 after 5 years of it sitting. The engine is overheating and I've checked a few things:
1. coolant level ok
2. fan works ok
3. thermostat not stuck shut (I removed it)
What I did notice after removing the radiator cap is that no water streams in from the upper hose from the direction of the block. I seem to remember that water pushed by the water pump should be flowing in from the block through the upper hose. Is there any way to ckeck if my water pump is shot without removing it?
Also, I don't suspect complete blockage of the radiator as removing the lower hose caused water to gush out of the radiator.
So then, should I be pointing a finger at the water pump?
Thanks,
Daniel
