My '82 with K-Jetronic injection has a habbit of running down the road just fine and the the engine just dies. I pull over and cut the ignition switch on a off again until I hear the mail fuel pump kick in and then it can start again ---usually. It's not the distributor or coil as I have checked both of these.
I've tried to jump the fuel pumps elliminating the fuel relay, so I don't think it is that. Is there something between the relay and the fuel pump that might be creating an open circuit? I'm wondering if the fuel pump may be on it's way out or if the contacts just need cleaning. Seems like there are many connectors on the car that need cleaning.
Any ideas?
