I had a busy day today playing with my '96 940 SE turbo, new rear springs and Bilstein sports shocks, big bore exhaust system from the cat back, new front hubs and EBC green stuff brake pads. The brake pads incidentally are noticeably better than standard, but squeel slightly.
Anyhow, driving home I saw a silver, late slimline bumper shallow headlight 960, and I like the look of it. However I don't really want to own a 960. Question is has anyone grafted the front end of one of those onto a 940 shell, or is it easier to stuff a red block turbo engine into a 960? I'm not fussed I think about having multilink rear suspension. Or should I be?
I kinda fancy the late styling, LSD axle, late B230 spec turbo engine, M90 gearbox, silver body with black leather memory seat interior, oh and 17" Polaris alloys.
Question is do I start with a 940 or a 960 shell?
Regards
Pete
