Thinking of converting to Weber 120-130

I've been fiddling with English metered leaks for 40+ years; the only decent ones I've seen were Gardners(uncommon to say the least).
Amals, Strombergs, SUs: FEH!!!
Funny thing is, the Japanese took the Olde English ideas and actually made 'em work in the '60s, synchronous with the decline and fall of the limey motor industry.
Of course, AFAIK, there's no quality control on the DGV series at all(and the Volvo manifolds are pretty shoddy, too), but I have in my posession a DGV and manifold from a long gone 1800 which don't suck nearly as much as usual.
