Unfortunately, you bought a transition year for the 740 model. This 1990 model has a unique front end and you can not change the lights from a donor car easily (i.e. take the 4 light system off the 1987 wagon). One option is to change out the lights and use a european Ecode headlamp system that is a bolt on replacement. Only problem is you have to order from overseas at a high cost to us.

Another option is to install a set of real aftermarket aux. fog & driving lights from a quality manufacturer such as Hella, Marchal, Cibie, or even Bosch.

Hope this helps - I know how crappy those plastic lights are. US DOT standards leave a lot to be desired and a lot of people in the dark.
