Have you tried a good fuel pump relay? if the soldered joints are cracked they will fail under high heat load causing the fuel pumps to shut off intermitently. It's a white relay located under the carpet above the passengers feet. Search the archives/FAQ for fuel pump relay for plenty of info. New ones are ~$15 at fcpgroton.com
