To Buy or Not to But.....Suggestions? 200 1985

Sounds like a really sweet turbo, my best advice would be, to find a local volvo shop (not a dealership if you can avoid it, some are ok) and have them check it bumper to bumper. A non functioning turbo could cause some problems, ie engine damage. I've seen a turbo toyota supra spit parts into the engine, big mess. Replacing it seems straight forward, Plenty of rebuilds on the net, maybe someone on the board knows the people to check out. If it's a cheap deal, i'd have to say, take it! A guy was selling his turbo in louisville for 500 bucks with a blown turbo last year, I should have snagged it! oh well....good luck..
