Driver's power door lock switch drains battery....Replacing driver's door lock switch 200

After removal of the door panel:
Look for the lock mech inside the door, note the plastic collar-it has a clip on one side that unsnaps and it come. (Remember how you did this because reinstallation will be by FEEL only!)Then feel down the rod and locate the clip that holds the rod to the internal door lock lever. Undo it (Same advice as before)
Then look for the U shaped clip that slids over the lock cylinder. Use a screwdriver and pry it down and the lock will be removeable.
In addition to the lock maybe the actuator/collar is also at fault. Positioning is the key-if its reversed it cam work but draw more power. Also out of position can draw more as the relays are then energized. Maybe the collar was installed backwards? Alos it has a return spring that can get flukey. Slow or No return can be a problem as the lock collar stays in the
position that it is giving a constant signal thus drawing power @ 8 amps-
