Central lock is discharging battery 200 1986

I've been afflicted by the central-lock battery drain phenomenon a few times. The problem usually seems to be the switch that wraps around the lock cylinder (driver's door), and usually manifests itself during cold weather. Seems the switch is reluctant to return to the neutral position after locking the doors with the key. Try removing it from the lock cylinder, setting it to the centre (neutral) position (it'll take a close look to see what actually moves). I expect you'll find no drain then. Remedy is cleaning or replacing it. Hope that helps!
