760 turbo - feedback on possible purchase 700

I'm quite happy with my '90 765T; I assume your narrowing-down of the year involves the instrument panel.
The biggest pain in these cars is the ignition lock; they use "high security" locks which have a finite lifetime and can/will jam up so you have to go through some major gyrations to get the car operating again.
Many electrical, interior, and body parts are unique; some are one year only.
Fortunately, there seem to be a fair number passing through our local pick-n-pulls.
Nivomats are another concern, but I like 'em well enough to put new ones on mine. On the wagons, it's easy enough to replace them with normal shocks and springs; on the sedans, it's somewhat trickier. At 133K there's probably 50-60K left.
Wiring is OK in the '90, don't know about '88-'89.
