It at least starts but runs terribly. 200 1985

The plug wires look in good shape. I replaced the plugs already. I am not a plug expert but I thought when I took them out that they looked black.

I have filled up since the beginning of the problem so I don't think gas is the problem. Also, if the current problem was the only problem that I have had I might think more gas related. However, would bad gas cause such starting inconsistencies and a complete momentary shutdown?
