i had some starting/running problems with my 85 turbo. carfully remove the six connectors from the plastic piece at the fuel pump relay and squeeze them a little tighter and reinstall. then resolder relay circuit board. (magnifing glass or jewelers loupe helps wonders). i believe to test the main fuel pump you need to test current draw hooked up in a series, with pump running, i think it should be around 8 amps current draw. replace all fuses and clean fuse holders also. i suggest the bentleys service manual for turbo troubleshooting. good luck
