95' 960 Sedan Engine Mount Brackets 900

Dear Mike,

Good p.m. and may this find you well. Yes!

A salvage yard is likely to have the mounting brackets. When they pull an engine, they usually leave the hydraulic mounts and the brackets attached to the frame rails. One reason they do this, is that almost no one wants a used motor mount. Thus, there's no reason to do more, than to remove the top nut on the motor mount, which allows the engine to be lifted out.

Call salvage yards in your locale, and ask if they have any Volvo 960s. If they do, you should be able to get a set of mounting brackets for a modest sum.

Yours may be cracked because they were over-torqued. Someone might have used an airwrench to tighten them, and simply over-did it.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

spook
