Noisy fan 700

No drama mate,

I have been sucessful (running for 1-1/2 years now) in lubricating a fan that was noisy. I removed, sprayed down with WD-40 (don't know if you have that their mate). Oil bushing (bearing - whatever) with regular oil then, it you can get to them.

Just remember, when you turn the fan on it will throw oil, so stick in a box, connect it and run it to spin off oil before re-installing. You'll smell WD40 for a few days, but then should go away.

I was down under a year ago last October and November in Melbourne. Didn't see alot of Volvo's, but did see one dealership. Seems that Ausi's I worked with liked the bloody Toyota trucks with the flat beds and hugh Kanga bopping bumpers. Then there are the Ford Fairlanes and, as you mentioned Holdens (GM).

Must say though, you guys are always looking for a reason to party and gamble (was there during race that stops the nation and rugby quarter finals).
