Keeping you guys up to date on my life 200 1990

1990 244DL

I want to apologize to everyone for ranting on and on about how pissed off I am at Volvos. It's just that this car seems to break down on long trips and I end up having to leave it at a parking lot somewhere while I get picked up by a friend (who drove nearly 2 hours one way to pick me up). I intend today to order the driveshaft bearing and support from eEuroparts. I'll have to have it overnighted and then take tomorrow off from work and use one of my vacation days. I may drive to the car today and remove the entire driveshaft, return back to the house (a four hour drive alone roundtrip not to mention the removal of the shaft time) and hopefully have a machine shop press on the bearing tomorrow and then drive back down there to install the driveshaft. The only reason I'm hesitant to do this is because the bearing seems to have slid down the shaft during the process of failing. I don't want the shop to press the bearing on and put it in the wrong place. I am praying the car is safe in the mall parking lot. And now, to make matters worse, a snowstorm is coming to the northeast. Great fun. Working in the cold and sleet/snow.
