Important post on 240... hubcaps!

Important? I guess it's all relative. Anyway, the silver post-1991 standard issue 14" volvo hubcaps found on so many later 240s are no longer available retail (these are the ones with the black volvo logo in the center). That's according to two dealers and a number of internet parts houses (including VlvWorld). You used to be able to purchase a brand new set for a bit more than $100; now they're off the market. I like these hubcaps because they're understated but attractive, and very secure. A good set could do a lot to dress up an older 240.

If anybody happens to know anybody with NOS hubcaps of this type, let us brickboarders know. Also, Volvo dealers are offering a "different" replacement hubcap to 240 owners. The parts person I spoke with said that he thought it was "kinda nice" but impossible to describe. Does anybody know what the new "standard" 240 replacement hubcap looks like?
