Door Locks, Mind of Their Own 200 1988

Hi Bricksters:

Could someone help me troubleshoot the problem with my electric door locks on my 87 240GL. Interestingly, it seems that summer (hot and muggy here in NC) that they do not work consistently. Often they do not lock at all, sometimes work, or do a half way job. Periodically, they have locked all on their own (except driver's door.) I believe I am hearing the "clicks" from behind the console. Could it be the driver's actuator, or is it likely to be the relays or something else? Can anyone offer some easy ideas? Don't mind trying to replace a part or two, but would like to get them off Ebay if possible and w/o spending big bucks for a mechanic to do it.

Thank you,
