960 Dies without warning 900 1992

Yesterday, my wife called to say that the 1992 960 (185,000 miles) had "quit" when turning into a parking lot. I got there within 10 minutes and tried to start it - No Luck> Has 3/4 tank of fuel.

Raised the hood to check the ignition wires to see if anything was out of place - NO. That had happened twice before - one or two of the spark plug wires had vibrated out of the distributor cap and the car ran "rough" BUT IT STILL RAN.

This time the Car just quit running. No coughing or stuttering - Just stopped running and all of the dash lights came on.

I checked the Fuses - none seemed to be "blown" but, I traded the Fuel Pump 10 Amp for a fresh one and it started up immediately.

We traded cars with her and I went back to work in the 960.

When I was driving home that evening - about 5 miles - it died again about a block from my drive way. Again, I coasted to the curb and traded fuses. It started right up.

This AM I swapped the fuses back to their original location and it started right up? I have driven it about 15 miles to see if it would "act up" again but it seems OK so far. I will take it out at noon for a more extended drive.

What is wrong with this picture?

Could it be the distributor module?
Could it be a clogged fuel filter? Seems unlikely as the car just quits (does not stutter or run ragged before quitting.)

Perhaps I need to take each fuse out and clean any possible corrosion off the "blades" and reinsert.

Suggestions?
