Personal preferences for wheels? 140-160 1970

After sliding on some ice into a curb and bending a front rim, I guess the time has come to consider getting some new(er) wheels & tires for the Yellow Hornet.

These guys are putting on some really nice rims from a 740 GLE - but I wonder if it is a straight bolt-on, and whether or not the tires are too wide? And what about the off-set?

I have also heard that VW rims are a good fit - is this true? If so, it would make the "interesting wheel" search a lot easier (not a lot of supply for 1970 Volvo 140-series cars out there).

I would love to hear some suggestions - in terms of aftermarket or replacement wheels & tires, what are you all wearing?
