Removing broken brass fitting in cast iron block

Glad you got it out. We weren't so lucky at work today- had to drill out two huge bolts on a forklift that sheared off in a 1" thick hardened plate. Really ugly.

Anyway, I will add that I have had great luck through the years with a set of MAC Tools square bolt extractors. The little 5-piece set I got over 10 years ago has served me well, and I've used all 5 at one time or another, and never broken one. We also use the spiral type extractors here at work, and they are not always successful, as was the case today. (Those bolts were too large for my set.)
