Timing Belt and Seals 900 1993

Got the bolt off and I think timing marks look OK. The crank washer notch seems to line up with a raised vertical line on the left side of the seal carrier plate.

It looks like only the cam seal is leaking. I don't seal any oil around the crank or intermediate sprockets, or seal carrier plate. It also looks like the seal carrier plate was opened before. There is some black, gasket-like material around the edges of the carrier plate. Perhaps the seals were replaced at one time (139K on engine) but excessive pressure from a clogged flame trap destroyed the cam seal. The flame trap, brass nipple and vacuum hose were severely clogged.

There is some oil in the TB cover. Can I use carb cleaner to clean after the old belt is off?

I'm going to replace the tensioner as well. Is this pretty easy to do?

Thanks for all your help!
Bob
