cooling system stumper repost 200 1985

(sorry, reposting this because my sign in failed before)

Okay, I've been experiencing problems with my cooling system for two plus years now, and I'm still having problems. I've stumped two mechanics and replaced lots of parts.

The problem: Overheating, coolant leakage, or extreme evaptoration.

Details: Damn thing has been running super hot despite:

replacing radiator, thermostat, viscous coupling, water pump, and maybe a few other things by now.

checking for blockage in the block. (I think. that's what one mechanic claimed. )

Recently, some strange things have occurred. Lately, instead of feeling particularly hot, the engine and radiator have felt kinda cool, and instead of hot air pouring out of the interior vents, it's cool air. Iv'e been losing lots of coolant/water, but no remarkable leaks (though engine block has been looking damp, but I'd been thinking it was an oil leak.) Finally, the car stalled while driving yesterday, started again shortly after, and then stalled again another mile down the road. I had it towed home, where it now sits awaiting my eager attempts at fixing it again. I'm worred it's a computer problem, but now it just feels like voodoo.

any thoughts?

Thanks,

Tim
