Follow up on bad idle....now another issue 200 1990

Again, this is a continuation of troubleshooting my idle problem and loss of power under all driving conditions and the engine would be doing a rhumba when idling (shaking side to side). I replaced the fuel pressure regulator and still didn't fix the problem. Looked for vaccum leaks..nothing there. Checked all the sensors (except O2) all seems to be fine. Cleaned TB and ACV...no change in idle. Well, it just so happens that that I had left a FI connector unplugged. Connect it back and the car idles perfectly!!

Now I ran into another issue. The car has major hesitation when I press on the gas pedal under load (ie in D or R) and it jerks going up a hill. It almost feels like the it's losing spark or something, but suddenly regains it. I will be back in the garage troubleshooting ignition cables, cap & rotor etc. Now, would a clogged fuel filter cause the jerking?

TIA!
