I's first eliminate an ignition problem. If you are getting spark (see manual for correct method of checking so you don't damage the ECU), then I'd suspect the AMM. The usual failure mode is a no start, but when mine failed, it caused an eratic idle and a miss at part throttle cruise. I bought a rebuit one from FCP Groton and have been very happy.
