anybody know what the correct spark plug for a 85 245 turbo is? 200

Hey Beetle,
Another thing to know about plugs is everybody that makes them uses different
numbers which can be very confusing. For example Bosch plug numbers are hotter
the higher the number. NGK are colder the higher the number. The original equipment plug for a 240 turbo is Bosch W6DSR.This is a silver plug and
can tolerate very harsh driving conditions. They are also like $10 apiece!
That plug is also available in a W7DSR which is hotter. I drive my car
hard even though it's mostly stock so I use the Bosch 6 heat range. 7 in
NGK plugs.

If the idle mixture is fine that is good. To provide extra fuel when boosted
the motor has an enrichment switch on the firewall. Under boost this tells the
computer to provide more fuel. Be sure that this switch is working. It's the
blue switch in the middle of the firewall back by number four cylinder. Hope this helps some.
