HT,
I live in California and I am a 20 year old driver, I own a 960 and I have full coverage insurance. "The Works" and I am paying less than $1000/year to insure my 96 960. Not too sure the liability rating but ask your rep what a 940 Non turbo cost to insure. Maybe its time to change companies.
