740 turbo won't start for anything.... 700 1987

you only need 3 things to make a car go...fuel, spark, and compression. id check and make sure the cam belt didnt break or jump, when you cranking listen and see if it soulnd like its in time, not like its got a weak cylinder, or skipping a cylinder....the only other thing i can think of would be a bad coil, or something along those lines....just beacuse a coil sparks, doesnt mean its good....I've had a number of those throw me off, and i watched it happen to other machanics. if you can, take the coil from your 240 and pop it in....it should be the same if not very similar, and if it looks like every other coil, and had negative and positive leads, pop it in and see what happens....but if you have fuel (and the injectors are firing, spark, and it doest have a blown timing belt, and there is no alarm screwing things up. it should run. One other thing (not too likely seeing as it ran the night previous, check all the air boots, from the air mass meter at the air cleaner all the way to the throttle body, its possible something riped, or you have a major vacuum leak throwing the mixture off so it wont start.) you can take a can or carb cleaner, or starting fluid, take off a vacuum hose at the intake manifold (not the throttle body) crank it and spray at the same time, and see if it fires, if it does, you have a fuel problem, or a huve vacuum leak like a broken air hose. good luck
