Speaker Woes 200 1980

Had the same problem on my 86 245...

The driver's door is the most used door. That is the door that typically has the hinge sagging. It is also the door that the spring steel pin that stops the door at the half-open point breaks first on.

The wires running to the speaker get flexed every time the dor swings open/closed.

Best guess is that one of the wires within are broken, sometimes the broken ends of the wire will touch and the speaker will work.

Try a continuity tester.

Good luck.
