Flat Hood Conversion 200

I was just looking at your spedometer repair. You can glue/repair that gear without taking the whole spedometer apart. It just pulls off from the side. Less risk of busting the needle or sproinging the helical spring (don't ask me how I know this can happen). Another thing you can do to help prevent the gear from cracking is to put C springs around it, similar to what you see on some knobs to reinforce it. I made some out of a paper clip and put one on either side of the gear over the crack. Actually I did not even use glue. The spring tension creates enough friction on the shaft. I have a pic but it is too big to post to the board.
