Painting Corona wheels 200

I'm very glad I stumbled across this post. I've had my volvo for about a year now and have been wanting to do something with the wheels since that first day: They're bbs style (alloys that kinda look like spokes) GOLD (bling bling) msw's with WHITE rim lips.. (the silver paint has worn off showing the white primer) And all crudded up with brake dust. Pretty bad, huh? There's a local place that refinishes but it's $100 a wheel. I'm just wondering, since these are the spoked style, they have a million little crevices, places you just can't get to when preping with sandpaper or steelwool. Do I have to find a
sandblaster somewhere? or is there another way to strip these?

a side note, inside, the wheels are stamped: OZ italy
