Turbo or Not, Here I Go...... 200

Hi,

I have a '82 242 GT Turbo 4 spd w/overdrive.

I just had my turbo replaced with another oil cooled one in good shape.

My Mennoite mechanic brothers did a great job switching it out for me.

I got it back and there is no oil leaks and the engine sounds great (I had them change the timing belt and do a complete tune up too).

The turbo is nice and quiet, in fact too quiet. It never kicks in. The turbo gauge registers as is should up to the yellow where the turbo kicks in, but alas the turbo never "turbos".

Is there something a shadetree mechanic such as I can do to remedy this situation, or should I take it in to a mechanic who is familiar with turbos.

The car runs great as a regular 4 cylinder, but I really would like to have my turbo back.

Thanks,

M Karns
