fuel pump relays?? 200 1984

Ok so under the glove box there are two relays the fuel pump and something else, it would be great if someone could tell me what the two relays are caseu when I bought my 84 244 GL the previous owner rigged the two so they would work without the relays in place.....and didnt tell me....so I am lost HELP ME!! What are they!! Thanks to all that can help me. -tattoonick
