Thanks-Flame trap removal 200 1981

Is there a way to individually thank the people who have responded to my call for help on removing the flame trap on an 81 240? If not, this is a general thanks to all. I really appreciate the advice I received. I haven't tackled the job yet, but I will this weekend. And I will get a relocation kit, as several of you advised this. After looking at the situation, I'm wondering if removing the starter and working from under the car might yield access to this little bugger.?.? Has anyone tried that? Thanks again!!
