How long have you had your brick ?

My first car was a "Currant Red" 89 Taurus "SLO". Oy. What an awful car, but hey it got decent mileage and was pretty comfy. Being a teenager, I wanted something with more power. The Taurus SHO caught my eye, and it had a dedicated group of DIY followers. Even better, that car is largely invisible to cops. What a great idea for a teenager. Ever try and find a decent SHO?

A bit of stumbling around and I ended up discovering the brickboard and swedishbricks. A Volvo with a Turbo? Neat concept, who would ever suspect that of being fun.

Long story short, I've got an 85 "GLT", 240 Turbo, 244 Turbo, Turbo whatever you want to call it. I've had it since December of 2001. It's much less intimidating than the Taurus, faster, more fuel efficient, and now it has a working odometer :)

Note to self: (Old) Audis do not make good beaters. Live and learn I suppose. I might be picking up a 75 164E in the next few weeks.. and now two of my friends are eyeing two 88 700 series turbo sedans (one's a 740, one's a 760). Oh what fun.
