Here's a web site from someone who converted a 780T to a stick shift. It's the b230 block, and a different body, but with the same goal as what you want to do. Maybe it will help give you general ideas.

Also, it seems to me there have been threads on this subject before. Check the archives.

The engine conversion posts may have been in reply to related questions, so I can't say whether the heading would be a good tip-off for what you're looking for. Just have to snoop around some and see what you find.
