In trunk lights 200 1989

The hood and trunk lights both use mercury switches. When you switch on the lights and close the trunk/hood, the light goes out. Sometimes at night I push my trunk lid down halfway, and the light flickers because the mercury is sloshing around in the switch.

The hood light is held in by one screw and the other side just slips onto the edge of the hole. The bulb is shaped like a cylinder with pointy metal contacts at either end that fit into metal pieces that hold it in the light housing. It will be obvious if you take it off.

I haven't taken out a trunk light before, but I'm sure it's easy, and it may even use the same size bulb.
