Flame trap - cap issues 700

I have changed gaskets on the 4 740's that we have owned - all high mileage cars. Mind you, these oil leaks were small, just a small ooze along the valve cover in the course of a week.

Installing a new gasket usually works good, you will probably notice how soft the new gasket is. One time our '88 745 did not stop leaking with a new gasket. A service advisor suggested SLIGHTLY bending the ears on the cap to make it tighter. That did the trick.
