Master Cylinder for 240 series non ABS compatible with 740 series non ABS? 700

Is the Master Cylinder for 240 series non ABS compatible with the 740 series non ABS? If so, I can find a MC easier in a salvage yard. Just glancing at say a 1985 240 MC, they look the same as for a 740.
