I Screwed up - oil pan seal need replaced? 900 1993

I'm doing a whole load of stuff to my '93 940 Turbo, one of which is replacing the front engine (crankcase) seal. Well, in the course of scraping the old one off, I accidentally cut off the bit of oil pan seal that sticks out right below the front seal. Am I going to have to replace the entire oil seal - or can I get away with cutting the bit I need from a new one? If I DO need to replace the whole seal, how tough is it? I looked under the car and it looks as though there's about 2" (being generous) of space to work with. uggghhh.

Please advise,
Thanks much
