First of all, I would like to mention just how helpful this forum has been to me. I have had a couple of issues with an older 740 Turbo and you folks have been most helpful at getting me out of both jams.
Now this question is a bit off-topic but I would bet some of you folks on this forum may be able to help.
There is an old unregistered vehicle sitting on my property that I would like to have donated to a charity. The only problem is with a title complication; specifically, the old lender's name still appears as the lienholder on the pink slip even though the car has long since been paid off. I haven't found a charity who will touch it as a consequence of this.
I would even consider letting the thing retire to a junkyard even though the vehicle will still run (it's a 1988 Toyota MR-2). Nevertheless, I am concerned that it may not even be disposable in this manner due to the titling issue.
However, I do need to get rid of this vehicle as it has just sat there for three years. Any suggestions from anyone??
By the way, I live in California so if anyone is specifically familiar with such procedures in California it would be most helpful. Thanks in advance for ANY help!!!
