SHE'S SLUGGISH-HELP!!!!!!!

I have an 1988 B230f N/A and its always run great. She currently has 120K miles and even after complete tuneup it's still not what it should be on response! Another post I read on brick said that O2 sensor typically fails 'round 120K. THAT would explain rough idle when cold at startup. Does she need something else like valve adjustment or could O2 sensor affect car performance thru whole driving range? NOTE: I'm comparing response of this car withmy other brick ; 1991 740 also w/ b230f N/A. ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED- I'm stumped! thanks mark
