I can't recall the exact procedure, but a if you've got a good manual like Haynes or Bentley, it describes it (or you might find out here on the board.) Basically, you disconnect the O2 sensor wire and watch the voltage change on it as you run the engine through the RPM range. There is a defined range that is "good", and readings outside of that (or readings which fail to change) indicate a bad or clogged sensor.

Some people have had some luck cleaning their sensors, but most go for a replacement.
