Re: wagon third seat latch 200 1985

Yeah, there's supposed to be a little latch on the rear crossmember behind the 3rd seat. That keeps the whole mess quiet.

I don't use my 3rd seat so I took it out and stored it. Much quieter back there without that mess to rattle around.

The fasteners, latch, etc., are all available from the dealer, or from IPD's website

Also, padding the spare tire well and generally making sure everything in the back is tight will help you out a lot with respect to rattles. But in my experience, no 245 is squeak-free!
