As tony said, patience. The pilot way works fine but you are going to needa press. The bench vise idea....hahahahahaha, never happened.

get something to cut through all the undercoating that is on and around the bushings. some of the bushings are 'webbed' (i think it was the upper arms) so pay attention and replace with the webbing facing the same way.

The bushings that are probably your culpret are easy to get out if you cut them but tough to get in. these are the ones on the axle itself. the tabs on the axle wants to bed and pinch the ingoing bearing. I temporarily welded a bar across the two thin bushing mounts to hole them parallel. that help a bunch. I put lithium grease on the through bolts as I put everything bak together.
