Squealing noise; fuel pump or air leak? 900

I changed main fuel pump about a year ago, for a new one. No noise then, just died. Last month I start hearing a squealing noise from underneath drivers seat, when I open door. Seems to come from engine pump bay or from tranny. Havenīt had time to get under and do the hose listening trick. However, what should I expect? Is the noise really from error in that pump, or is there an air leak in in-tank hose/tube causing noise from main pump, or should i suspect in-tank pump failure?

No problem in engine performance. Yet.

Thanks for any input.
