Yes, that is the ECU location. It will have a Bosch number and should be 0 280 000 544or maybe 0 280 000 554 in your car. On Ebay it will be described as an ECU for an 86, 87 or 88 and will be $15 or 25with no bids. It is best to match your number exactly with the sellers Bosch number and label color is also keyed. I am not sure what the 87 takes, 544 or 554 and if they are interchangeable. You might be safest matching or verifying with a reliable source. The ICM is in the engine bay at the corner opposite the battery and has a blue label on top with something like XXXX607 or something. O'm too lazy to check but I could. As for the harness, they are in good supply too on Ebay and an 86 or 87 one should work or be darn close. Good luck. Use a good seller like DBarton or someone with a lot of good feedback.
