Re: Blower fan noise - not again 200 1984

I just replaced the blower motor in my 82 with a Bill Chebb remanufactured

motor. Bill installs ball bearing type bearings for a nicer smoother

running motor. The bearings wear in the motor to the point where the plastic fan blades hit the inside of the housing. At least thats what mine

was doing and the end play that the old bad motor has proves it. I would

just bite the bullet and replace the motor because if you are a long term

owner of an older used 240 blower problems can happen. It took me about

7.5 hours to do the job but I take my time. I did this over two days

also. This time when I did the job (I've done three previous) I took off

the whole dash top. It made the job much easier and its not that hard to

remove. Try a Bill Chebb motor, he is in Canada in Edmonton. I think the

info is in the resources. I don't have the info here with me at work

but I'll bring it in.
