Speedometer dead/Anti-Lock light came on 700 89

Last night coming home from Xmas party, the "Anti-Lock" brake light came on and stayed on as we neared the house. This morning, the light came on again and also the speedometer went crazy, jumping all over the place at around 30 MPH before totally dying. Any ideas? Are these two events tied together? Thanks!!!
