I had a '74 144 parts car with a very similar antenna, but mounted on the RIGHT a-pillar. I tried to salvage it for use on my '73, but upon removal, it crumbled in my hands.

Interestingly, the gasket was embossed "fits DATSUN".

I think dealers were pretty much on their own until the mid '80's. I've had lots of 240's that rightfully should have had a-pillar antennas, but instead had other kinds.
